"Pinholes and Microbial Barrier"
Do you have any information regarding the smallest pinhole that creates insterility i.e. what size hole is a microbe unable to travel through? It has been rather difficult to address this question or find any studies related to such a question.

Studies on this topic have begun at the Michigan State University School of Packaging. Initial studies have developed test methodology and some useful information, but additional studies are needed before this question can be answered in a meaningful way.
